Slid on ice driving my friends car

I have a question about an accident that happened over a year ago. me and a friend took a trip to NH in the middle of a snow storm, spun out on the highway hit the median. no accident report, no police. she said it was fine, and was going to take care of it a couple months later she wants the $500 deductible to fix her car through her insurance agency. i have given her some money now shes threatening to take me to court

I was driving, and we tried to get the deductible waved for that reason. but it didn't happen. does she have a case? i told her im going to pay her when i can, but "thats not good enough". what can i do?

I was recently surprised by a friend who told me that they had no idea about driving on ice and that it terrified them. I must first say that I am NOT a driving instructor of any kind, neither am I qualified to offer training/advice in this subject – I have however had a little experience of driving on snow and ice and actually rather enjoy it, so I though it might be helpful to share this for the benefit of those like my friend.
