Need advise; I was involved in a minor accident which was not my fault and am awaiting approval for repairs. I was rearended by another vehicle (minor damage), I obtained the person's name and insurance info but did not file a police report. I contacted the individual's insurance company at which time they provided an estimate informing me to wait until they could contact their insured client. I have yet to get approval to repair my vehicle as the insurance company cannot get a confirmation from the person at fault. Weeks have passes since the accident, what recourse do I have?

I called my insurance company who told me to be patient, if I don't hear from the person at fault, they will conact his insurance company to assist.

Your insurer should handle and asap.

But you can also file in small claims court if need be. To keep them moving!
