Carr accident-not my fault

In Oct 28-08 I had a head on car accident. 16years old girl did not stop when she was makind a left turn and hit me.It was totally her fault- she admit that to the police. My car was totally destoid and I got hurt. I went to the lawyer and I'm in touch with the legal administrator, but he is not able to tell me how long does it take to take care of everything and when I will get the money from that gir's insurence company. I had to ask the police several times to write a report for me and I'm still waiting for it. I feel that my lawyer does nothing. I'm done with my medical treatment and physical therapy. What shoud I do? Does it really takes that long? When can I count for any money?

ask the lawyer to write out a timetable and if he will not do so, have a second lawyer or the state bar if need be check what is happening

Normally,it undergoes a process which may or may not take long depending on the circumstances involved. Ask from your lawyer a constant update of your case. You can go at his office and talk to him personally of your case. I think being his client you need to know everything specifically the monetary part of it.
