Confused I need quick help please

My problem is that I live in an apartment complex with very narrow assigned parking spaces. I've been living there for approx 3 months and the person that I park next to left a note on my car saying that they are going to file a claim against me for door dings on the side of his car. I have always done my best to park far enough away from their car because I have a small child to get out as well. I need to know what they can do, if anything, about this? As far as I know they do not have proof such as photos or video and I don't think that I was the one who dinged their car. Any advise?
