wisconsin inq. avis

i am a person of size which is why i purchased an suv. i was in an accident with the suv, and the other ins person's insurance is picking up rental while my suv is being repaired. avis is trying to make me use a sub compact or smaller car for the rental... can you say shoehorn? now if i cannot fit in the car they are asking me to take is there a recourse? do they have to accomodate with an suv?
