HELP street light crashed through windshield.HELP

i was on my way to work when a large commercial vehicle struck a street light sending it through the windshield of my truck. the street light entered about 10in into the cab of the truck, another few inches forward and i would have been killed. glass and debris flew into both eyes and as result of the impact. i've had a horrible headache for 5 days and severe pain in the neck and shoulder from crouching down into in front of the steringwheel and slaming on the breaks to race for impact. the driver of the commercial truck admitted that he was totally at fault and that he wasnt very good at driving such a large truck. so far i have missed over a week of work.

in a case like this how much of a settlement would one expect?
