Owner's Title Policy - Texas
Sold my home in Texas, closed on or about 9/14/07. Settlement Statement was prepared by Title Company and funds were dispersed. 5 months later Title Company writes that they neglected to charge me for title policy and now I owe them $2400. Do I owe this money? When is this sale finally completed? Can they continue to come back to me and say that I owe them money because they find other mistakes?

They cannot really do that normally. You relied on the closing and it is done.
They would have to show that you somehow were involved in the error and that all agree an error was made. |
