Non-residents who purchase property in the United States for their own use are not required to have a social security number or a tax ID number. Nevertheless, if the foreign buyer receives rental income from U.S. real property at any time, they are obligated to file a U.S. tax return. Non-residents often choose to have their real property managed by a U.S. rental agent or property manager. Rental agents use their own federal ID number to withhold and pay taxes associated with the rental income.

Based on your $500,000 comment it appears you do not want to just buy a property. It appears you want to immigrate via the business investors section of the immigration code.

No, buying a house in the US, would likely have the opposite effect as it would indicate you have an intent to immigrate, in violation of the visa.
