Question Reserving Mineral Rights

9 years ago we purchased 240 acres of land. The previous owners did not reserve the mineral rights. Now, 9 years later they are coming back saying we illegally obtained the mineral rights and are trying to sue us to get them back. Do they have any legal ground to stand on?
