Default Woke up owning a car I've never seen

Car dealership used our signature from a previous car purchase to purchase a new car for a person we were considering helping to cosign. They now say that we showed intent to buy a car in form of email, even though we did not even see the car, nor have we made the decision on it. Can a dealership forge our signature on a loan application, intent or no intent?

I wish to inform you that the car dealer cannot forge your signatures on the loan application form from a previous loan application form. You may give a written notice to the car dealer. If the other party does not resolve the matter, you may file a lawsuit. The burden of proof will be on you to show to the court that your signatures were forged. You may provide an expert witness. The court will consider all the facts and decide the matter. Alternatively, you may report the matter to law enforcement agencies.

No, they cannot. You may report them to your state Attorney General's Office for the forgery, the fraud they have attempted to perpetrate on you. One cannot forge without "intent", either. They have to pick up a pen, practice your signature and then apply that forged signature to a new application.

Since this is a new car dealership, you might also report it to the manufacturer's regional office. I am sure they will be thrilled!!!
