ownership: who has the right to make alterations to the house
If one person is on the mortgage and is paying the mortgage but another person is on the deed, who owns the house and who has the right to make alterations to the house without the other's permission?

I wish to inform you that the owner has the right to make alterations. In this regard the person paying the mortgage cannot have the right as regards alteration because he is not the owner. However if person paying the mortgage is having house as security or intends to have some right on the house then person paying mortgage can object to alteration of the house on the ground that person paying mortgage rights can be violated.
