Our daughter and husband want to switch houses with them. We are trying to sell our house now. They really want our house and we would be willing to move to their house. Both houses have mortgages. We are retired and this is our retirement. How do we go about selling to them on contract? They are willing to continue paying mortage on their house. Do we continue paying on our house? Should we require a substantial down payment?
Don't know how it works. I know a lawyer would be needed to handed who does what and how much. Thanks. k |

You can each sign contracts very similar to the one your bank has with you. Ask around for a flat fixed fee and a lawyer can help you draft it up.
