Need Help!!! Verbal contract breaker after eight year's, And is a family member.
I was renting a mobile home from my brother, And was told if I made three more payment's the mobile home and property was mine to keep! Free and clear of all debt's. And I have been living there ever sense for well over seven year's. And now out of the clear blue sky he calls And said, For me to remove all my belonging's because he quote unquote he is going to have the mobile pulled out and basically leave me high and dry with no place to live. This contract was verbal but I do have mail showing that I have lived there this Length of time. Although nothing is in writing please can someone advise of my rights and what I can do to protect my home and resolve this matter. Please Help! And thank you Donna

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney but amounts are limited...
If real estate is also involved those agreements as to the real estate often have to be in writing. |
