Question Land Contract vs Lease to Own

We have a family member who offered to finance a new home for us. At first, they told us that they would do a straight loan, but they got cold feet, and have now decided to purchase the home (cash) and create a lease to own agreement for us. I could find info on Land Contracts, But very little on Rent to Own or Lease to Own.

What is the difference?

Thanks for any help!!
