Hi, New here, not sure if you guys can help someone from Canada (Nova Scotia). I'll try to explain my situation.
We are looking at a piece of land (love it) but it is kind of land locked. Accessible by boat. Take a boat to one lake, dock it, walk through a rite of way through other property, and then we're at our piece of land on another lake. You can drive almost to it through old woods roads but you have to stop at the end of the woods road and then walk through 4-5 lots of land (heavily wooded) to get to our piece. My question is - Do we need the other land owners' permission to put a 4x4 passable rough road over their land to drive directly to ours? Two different people own pieces of the land (one is the guy we are dealing with for our piece). We believe they can't refuse us access to our property (if purchased) but we're not sure exactly how it works. Kind of axious to find this stuff out. We've been dealing with this guy all Summer, he's been back and forth about putting the road in for us and dealing with the other land owner but has just came back to us and said he doesn't want to bother. I said we'd give him our final answer next week. Any help would be great, even if it is just to direct me to another resource that would be great. We love this piece of property and I'm sad that we may not get it
