Confused house poor

I have two houses. I live in one and have been trying to sell the other for a year. Money is getting very tight. The way the market is, the houses are not worth much more than what I owe. Two years ago the I had about 80,000.00 in equity. What would happen if I had to go into foreclosure on one of them. How would that affect my credit and could I loose both houses? I am 51 years old, and have very little money in retirement or invested. I getting deeper in debt because I have had to put some of my daily expenses on credit card.
