Note Finders License Requirement with SEC
A note finder is one that finds holders of owner-financed promissory notes receiving monthly payments and matches the holder with a buyer who pays the holder lump sum cash for the cash value of the note. The note finder represents neither the seller/holder nor the buyer of the note, but receives a finders fee for the "match up". Is the Note Finder required to hold a license by the SEC or any other government agency?

You may want to give them a call as well as call your state securities regulators.
They will guide you to any state or fed laws--don't see anything about that here in the database on the Forum yet... |
