Default HSBC auto finance

Here is my question. Is it legal for an auto loan to take money from your checking account without permission? I had authorized a one time payment from my account but not the second one. Now this has caused my account 2 overdraft charges because the money was not in there.

Thumbs Up Re: HSBC auto finance

I know what you mean. This had occurred to me several times and I have made duplicate payments. When you payed via the internet you gave HSBC your bank account information and set up "Auto Pay". Under "My Account" click on the link "Make a Payment". A window pops up and on the side links of that pop-up click on "Cancel Bill Pay Service".

I know, if you are like me and want to continue to pay via the internet, you now have to enroll again, but be sure that you DO NOT set for automatic pay.

And yes it is. You clicked on the "I Agree" in the part of the user agreement, thus allowing them to do so. Sorry. You will have to pay for any and all fees allowable by law to both the Bank and the Creditor.
