Hope I'm in the right place. I allowed my daughter, who does not reside with me, to use my checking account number twice to purchase medications at the Walgreens pharmacy in Tennessee. Without my knowledge/permission, she recently made other purchases at this same store amounting to over $1100.00 using this same account number. She is in no financial position to pay back this money nor am I. Is Walgreens liable in any way for these unauthorized debits to my checking account. Also, because of these charges to my account, the account has become severely overdrawn yet the First Tennessee Bank, who holds my account continued to let overdraft fees accrue as Walgreens processed the charges that my daughter submitted using my account number. Obviously this only compounds the problem. Does First Tennessee have any liability in this as well? What can I do about all of this.
Thank you for your help with this. |

Your daughter is 100% liable for this issue.
Unless you want to charge her with check fraud in order to exonerate yourself, you two need to figure out a way to get that paid. |
