I had a product (category: jewelry) created from a vendor in China. This product is carved out of gemstone. I want to sell that product to businesses in the U.S. instead of a 1 by 1 sell on eBay (for example). My concern is someone will take my product and reproduce. I am sure I cannot totally prevent this, but can I minimize this somehow? For example, if I contact a company via email and see if they are interested in the product: is there some kind of terminology I can include to protect me?
Additionally, I want to ask the vendor that is creating my product if they have any intentions of selling my idea for their gain? I want to maintain a good relationship with this vendor and need some assistance on how to ask the question. The vendor does not charge me to create, they charge me for the order to reproduce the piece. |

Who created the design--the company or you?
