Screwed over by brother

Went into bus. (corp) with brother in 2005, my husband and I own 20 shares he owns 80. In beginning of 2007 brother decides to liquidate all assets, profits approx. $200,000.00 does not pay any outstanding debt nor does he give us our cut of the liquidation, corp. is now inactive do to annual report not being filed. He also took the monies and stashed it into different bank accounts to hide the money. One of the accounts is mine and my mothers savings account, which I did not give him permission to put money in, so everyday I log on to see my personal accounts I get to look at all this monies sitting in account in my name, while I go broke, because he screwed us. Wondering if it would be legal to take the 20% out of the account, give him the rest and close the account. I don't want to be held accountable for him hiding money.

Curious as to why no one out in internet land has any thoughts on this matter?

You should tell him if you take those funds or file in court to get your share. You cannot just take the funds normally as a 25% shareholder.
