What to tell a company about my product idea

I was wondering what I should and shouldn't say if I were to tell a company about my product Idea. I don't want them to market my idea and I gain zero from it? Could you please give me some advice?

I wish to inform you that you can disclose your idea partially. In this regard you may not disclose certain part which is essential to perform your idea. Generally idea may not have protection because its in ones mind and has not been applied and thus laws cannot grant which has not come in existence. You may also sign an agreement that company may not perform the work n your idea without including you.

You can reveal the basic idea behind the product. Never reveal the crux of the idea so that the company will take the advantage of production. You have to keep in mind that without your help the company cannot make the product. You have to enter into an agreement with the company and should specifically mention that the crux of the idea is from your side. It is better advised that you may consult with a Contract Attorney who can give a proper guidance in this regard.
