I took out a personal loan last week for around $7000. I got a call from the loan company yesterday saying that the made a mistake on my paperwork and I had to come back in and re sign everything. The said they would give me an extra $500 and another month of free payments if I did so.
Today I got my loan copy in the mail, and It had stamped on every page, "PAID." I have not made any payments on this loan so far, and I have already cashed and used the money for what I needed. My question is, do I have to pay this loan now that they have stamped it "Paid." what will happen if I dont go in an resign a new loan. I just dont want my credit to get hurt? -seth |

You still do need to pay. If they go to court the court would make you pay when it is an obvious error such as that.
