eaurian city guide issue

Dear Sir Madam

I operate a small business in the UK. Las year I received a prepaid post card enquiry for us putting an advert into the eaurian city guide. I completed this card and returned it to the Spanish Company. A few weeks later I received further information through the post which I did not read at the time. Only when I got a first reminder did I go back to my pending tray to look at there previous correspondance did I find a copy of a document with my signiture on it for a proof copy that I did not agree to in any way. They now say I owe them 987 euros. I did not sign there document as I had never seen it before and can only assume that this document has been scanned with my signiture on it.

They now say that as a I have not paid on time they will charge me additional.

What should I do and where do I stand legally.

That is a common scam. You may refuse to pay and report them to local authorities, and/or sue in small claims.
