Tax Id Needed?
Would you need a tax id or would can you just use your SS# if you are just offering a service online? I would not be selling a tangible product, but just giving advice for a price, so could I just go straight to a DBA application using my SS#?

You can often use your SS number if you are working as a sole proprietor.
