US BANK ACCOUNT

Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I am a resident of Canada and would like to open a bank account in the usa (at a usa bank...not just have an "american account" at a canadian bank). The reason why I am asking is because I would like to register a business in the Usa, and would prefer to open a business account there. I would like to do everything above board. How can I open up a an American account with an American bank "in the usa" legally. Most of the time an American Address is Required. Thank you for your time

My husband opened a US bank account with just his Canadian License and Passportand a ITIN. Most banks just want two forms of ID..no US mailing address required...Some banks require your social security number which you can get a ITIN (Individual Tax Identification number) instead. You can get that here..
