Confused Authority to sign a letterhead

In a small school, with 1 principal and 1 vice principal, who has the authority to sign the school's letterhead?

I ask this question as persons apart from the principal and vice principal type letters on and sign the school's letterhead and from my limited knowledge of use of letterhead, I think only company heads have the authority.

Others can sign but it often will not be binding as a legal matter if it is a lower level person.

But they can still send out communications etc.

...you could also check with the school board to see if any restrictions exist in the charter...
