Credit Card Dispute

My boss requested while he was away that we get a credit card to use for business purposes only. Since he was away for quite a while, I had the card put in my name with him as a secondary cardholder. He assured me that he would pay any purchases he made on the card since all business purchases are reimbursed by the company. I recently found out that not only has he accumulated approximately $14,500.00 in debt, he has missed several payments and the reimbursed funds the company has given him have not been put back on the card, as promised, but been put to personal usage. I have documented all the charges and matching expense reports where he has received compensation for purchases made on the card yet did not put that money back into the credit card account. When I have tried to talk about this matter with him, he has acted very hostile, saying "You're not going to pin these on me!", not even looking at the proof in the backup documents and saying that the company will pay for the purchases, which is both unfair to the company and unethical for him, being the president, to assume the company will take over his personal debt. I believe that he has no intention of ever paying the debt. Can I initiate litigation against him to recoup the expenses?

Yes! Sue him in small claims for payments due, or for the total amount in court if you wish as well. He will likely settle.
