Default car deal

we recently bought a new car signed the contract and paid for the car through our own financing. four days later they call and say they wrote down the wrong payoff on our vehicle, and want us to pay additional money. can they do this ?

Default Re: car deal

This unfortunately is a common event and unacceptable. Depending on what you signed you may fight it--and sue in small claims (even if the contract says otherwise)--you could argue they said it was a completed deal and you relied on it. Otherwise they must give you every dollar back and let you go to another dealer.
