Default t-mobile server outage and release of confidential information

I have lost all my contacts/info in this huge t-mobile server outage. Today I unexpectedly had 375 new contacts and emails from a random person who live in the Los Angeles area. I contacted him and he feels violated as well and wants to file a suit somehow along with me against tmobile. I have gotten online and I see 1000\'s of people already doing this over lost important data but I feel like this situation is a bit different. Who out there has my info that was supposed to be protected?? Just wanted some advice for our next step.

Report this to the Federal Trade Commission as well.

They take such privacy breaches very seriously.
