i took out a small loan from one of the check cash advance places and now i am unable to pay it back i offered to make payments and they refused now they are threatening to sue me can they sue me? also i closed my account after i couldnt pay them and there trying to say they can get me for fraud what are the laws

They cannot charge you criminally--it is a civil matter; they have to sue you and often even that is not worth the time given the small amount you borrowed.
