Help in Iraq please

I have invested 40,000 dollars into a wireless internet provider on a base in Iraq. This occurred in April 2008. I was supposed to have been paid back in October 2008 my principal and 100% interest on top of my principal. That amount should have totaled 80,000 dollars. It is almost a year late and I am wondering what approach I should take in settling this matter legally. I have not the slightest idea. I do have a legally binding contract with the business. I am also not the only investor involved in this matter. Please any advice would be great. Thank you.

Who are the recipients...a US or other firm working their or local people?

A US company out of Milpitas, CA small business.
