We have a three year contract to deliver a project to a government department, however our contract is through a third party with a clause that says that they don't have to pay us until the government department pays them. We are now owed nearly 300k on 45 days overdue. The government department says that they are going through a review of all contracts due to restructuring..Can they withold payment like this. If we do not receive some kind of payment within the next 2 weeks we will go under. What recourse do we have?

You can sue and collect damages etc. if you have completed your part of the agreement and are supposed to be paid.
World Law's lawyers could also probably intervene and help resolve this if need be. You may email them on the home page. |
