We are three sisters who have inherited a large house in an excellent rental area. We are preparing to rent it soon. Would it be a good idea to set up as a limited liability company? we want our personal assets to be protected. We will own it as tenants in common, each owning 33 1/3%.

That is one way of doing it yes.
You may want to meet briefly with your accountant or tax planner as well; they may also have considerations that fit your particular situation. |
