Signed new home contract with builder now house won't fit on lot
We signed a purchase contract to have a new home with a specific floorplan built on a specific lot in a subdivision now the builder says that the home we want won't fit on the lot we want. They originally wanted to change the floor plan by moving the chimney to another wall, but that is not what we wanted or signed up for. Now they want to move us to another lot we don't want. Do we have a legal right to get the money back for the deposit we paid and other money we had paid to them for a guarentee buy on our existing home?

You can ask for a refund--that is a material change and you do not have to agree to such chnages.
