Default What can be done about poor representation?

If an attorney is not answering the client's questions about the case and not stating relevant facts regarding the case before the judge or magistrate, can this be seen as unethical behavior or failure to provide competent representation?

If so, what can be done?

Would it hinder a person's case if they retained new counsel half-way through a case?

Is it possible for the client to be reimbursed for what they have paid the attorney?

I wish to inform you that if an attorney is not properly representing then he may be liable for professional negligence. In this regard you may complaint to State Bar Association or may even file a suit for negligence against attorney. Further you may change attorney at any stage of lawsuit. Generally change of lawyer depends upon complexity of lawsuit as well as stage of lawsuit. It will be seen as to whether new lawyer understands case.

People change lawyers all the time. No big deal if you don't like the one you have.
It is a bit of wasted time of course.

hello, I agree with AFFA's reply. You first complain to state bar association then you find a new attorney.
