Most bar associations started to enforce lists for solo attorneys of other attorneys who will get their cases should the first attorney become incapacitated or passes away.
You should first contact the local bar association in which the attorney practiced, as well as the state bar. They may be able to assist you to track down his files. If you know of any other ex-clients of the attorney, find out if some other attorney took over his old/dead files. That is where the bar association may also try to help you. |
