Question Fake Surveillance Cameras

There has been some vandalism and attempted thefts around my neighborhood so I bought 2 of those real looking fake video cameras and put them on the side of the house.

I have them pointed at the property line in the front of the house and the property line in the back of the house.

Seems to be working so far.

The neighbor is really aggravated with the cameras and says I'm spying on them and has put a huge basketball back board up to try and block the back camera but has no rememdy for the front camera.

I can't tell him they are fake since that would travel and there goes my deterrent.

He is threatening legal remedies if I don't take them down.

Can he do something legally to me over these fake cameras?

Some police depts will ask you to change the aim if it points directly at them. But it is not strictly illegal.

I have real cameras due to neighbors' actions with police reports to support that. You generally have the right to video if you post signs. The premise is that you do not video into their home. The fine line is whether they can "reasonably expect privacy". Since I have a two story home they cannot even "expect" privacy in their back yard. Have a great day, wouldn't it be nice if neighbors were good.
