Hi,
Can a high school take a cell phone from student and not give it back for two days? Also if you want it back that afternoon you have to pay 10$ fine. Is this legal? |

I wish to inform you that school administration has a right to make rules in school. In this regard a school can make rules regarding fine or keeping mobile. However it is necessary that school must have a rule before child is caught with cell phone. If there does not exist rule then child cannot be fined or cell phone confiscated.

Is there a provision in the student handbook about cell phone useage?
Teachers and school officials, and I am assuming this is a public school, are still constrained by the 4th AM, but not as much as police. |
