Last weekend I was arrested and received disorderly conduct. While I was at the police station, the officers wanted to know how I knew a Detective within the department. I told them it was because of a previous case, and when asked beyond this I told them it was none of their business. After a lot of harrassment, I told them the case and they then updated me on the status of the person I testified against who is now in prison. Is that illegal on the part of the police department? What are my rights here? Should I get a lawyer?
