Illegal seizure of property by a land lord?
Hi, I was renting a room in a house for 3 weeks. after one week I was told i was not wanted back because of a smoking issue. now, a month later when i come to get my stuff back, the landlord wont give it to me unless I pay what i feel is an unfair amount of money, (1 weeks rent for the time my stuff was in the room, and I was not welcome to stay there any longer.)
Legally, can I demand my belongings back and get the police involved??? thanks, KC |
