Find information regarding the penalties of shoplifting by consulting an attorney or lawyer that specializes in the field to learn about the punishments that vary from state-to-state.

If it's your first shoplifting conviction you will most likely get a fine and/or community service but if you get a third conviction in the state of Florida, the State Attorney has it within his or her discretion to turn the misdemeanor charge into a felony where you would be looking at up to five years in Florida state prison!!

Some guy was following me in the store and watching, like I was gonna steal. It was really irritating.
