Charged with Grand Theft Auto. What is the definition of Grand Theft Auto ?
I did give the car back after 24 hrs so why is it GTA. |

Generally speaking, the offense of grand theft auto requires a showing of in intent to deprive the owner of the vehicle on a permanent basis. What is sometimes known as joyriding or unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is of a more temporary nature. That is usually the line distinguishing how the offense is charged. AJJ
