My old landlord let law enforcement officers in my apartment without a warrant or my permission to enter. The lease agreement stated only the owner or the owner's agent may enter. After some unfortunate legal issues now dismissed (a couple of pills prescribed to me but left out of the bottle on the counter), I am out thousands in legal fees.
Since this all started from officers talking my complex into opening the front door and letting them snoop around, leading to me spending thpusands in legal fees, can I recoup the costs from the apartment complex via a lawsuit? Which kind of attorney would handle this? |
