When stopped and arrested for drugs
When a person is stopped for a traffic violation and drugs are found during a search, what are the precedures when a deal is offered? How does it all come about? Does the arrest stay on record of a person that's arrested, yet makes a deal to get off? In other words, if the arrested person becomes a CI, does the arrest record remain anyway?
I have been accused of turning CI and causing my friend to be busted. They think that I was arrested and turned CI to get myself out of trouble..Not the case! |

Yes you still have a record it is usually a lesser charge and your friend will know when they go to court. They have the right to see all evidence presented against them and that also means they have the right to confront the person helping the police.
