New design makes the forum load faster

Our colleagues from the Wall Street Journal Law Blog posted yesterday in their news feed...

All the WSJ.com blogs are being redesigned over the near term and Law Blog put on its new outfit today, as you can see. We’d love to hear what you think and also to know about any technical problems that may arise. While we obviously tested the site before launching, some things become apparent only with actual use by our valued readers. And of course we may decide to make some tweaks ourselves, so we pray for your patience.

... and today the WLD Team is pleased to announce that the new World Law Direct Forum design will be released over the weekend.

With the new design you will be able to choose between "fixed" and "fluid" layouts.

If you don't like the new design don't worry. The current Forum theme will also be reserved. You may choose the one you like from the drop down menu (Quick Style Chooser) located at the bottom of any forum web page.

Hello Everybody!

We recently upgraded our forum software and to make the use of all existing and new features easier, we also upgraded the look of the Board.

Today we are pleased to announce the release of a brand new style for our Forums!

Our primary focus was to make the navigation throughout the Board easier and more intuitive. We hope you enjoy the changes!

However the links have been disabled???

Considering I link back to WLD from other forums I always considered this Qid Por Quo. Now the incentive to carry WLD on my journeys is severly diminished. I hope you will reconsider. Google was not built on content it was built on LINKS!!!

Hi--thanks--no links are disabled; some just have black color now instead of blue.

As to the links color--I guess it makes it easier and and cleaner to use the site generally, but once in a while i don't know if a link exists or not.

I can tell it is faster!
