Adoption/g'ship in CA of partner's children
Hi there. My boyfriend lives in CA and I live in New Zealand - we will marry in New Zealand in a few months before I apply for visas to move to CA with my children. My question is how does my boyfriend go about adopting my children and becoming their legal guardian? I've found info re "relative adoptions" and assume this is the right course. Will my former husband have to defend the case in CA? Thanks in anticipation of your response/advice.

Yes a local attorney can help you process the paperwork and if the bio father does not object it is an easy process.
