Adoption question; I got adopted in Florida when I was 14

I got adopted in florida when i was 14 but ran away when i was 17 because of the verbal and mental abuse. i want to know if my adopted mom gets any money for me. im 24 and still in college

Why would your adopted mom get any money for you, and where would you expect she would get it?

If your adopted mother was/is on welfare the payments for you would have stopped when you were 18 if she did not notify them that you left. If you were a foster child and not adopted the payments would have stopped when you were 18.

You can contact the Department of Children and Families in Tallahassee and they should be able to tell you from their records what payments were made and when.

I ask because two years ago she told me that the state supposely owe some back money for me and she not telling me if she recieved anything
