Default neices and nephews

My sister has 4 young children (7,6,5,3) and they've been living with me for the past 3 months. But my sister and her boyfriend are both drug addicts. If she and her boyfriend willingly gave me custody would I still need to go to court with a lawyer? I"m willing to take all four of them but I'm only 19....will that be a problem?

Without a court order they can take them back at any time, and your legal rights will not be as great if a dispute arises. You will also need powers of attorney or guardian papers to make certain health care and other decisions for them.
