Reverse Adoption
I am 24 years old and to keep a long story short, I want my mother's husband, who adopted me, to "unadopt" me. I do not want to be tied to him legally or any other way now that I am an adult. Please, legal advice only. I don't need people telling me whether you think this is right or wrong. You do not know me or my situation. But if anyone can offer legal insight I would GREATLY apprecite it. I live in Utah.

You can reverse the adoption, but you must speak with an attorney who specializes in family law as it is a rather complex issue. Consult with an attorney in your area who specializes in this area of practice. He/She should be able to assist you.
